St. Lawrence Market

by

Back in , Michelle and I went to St. Lawrence Market for the first time and since then, we've been back many, many times. In fact, we've been going every two weeks or so for the past year to do a lot of our grocery shopping there. I love that place!

St. Lawrence Market is the #1 food market in the world, according to National Geographic, so it would be a shame to live in Toronto and not take advantage of such a marvelous place. In fact, I can't believe it took us so long to finally make our first visit!

In I took my camera along with the intention of sharing some photos. But life has gotten in the way and editing photos in Aperture has been low on my priority list. Nevertheless, it's been in the back of my mind for months now that I want to share these photos so those of you who don't live in Toronto might be inspired to come visit… And since that visit in May, Michelle and I have been back countless times and I've been collecting many more photos along the way.

Here are some photos that I've taken over our numerous visits to St. Lawrence Market this year:

St. Lawrence Market is a very beautiful place with a long, rich history and there's just too much to photograph there to get it all in one day. To date, my photos of St. Lawrence Market haven't been very artistic photos, and usually my hands have been full of grocery bags as I've taken the photos… I'll likely take many more photos there in the months to come though and maybe I'll even share a couple more of them. But for now, hopefully this quick photographic overview inspires you to visit St. Lawrence Market!

Like the Toronto Reference Library, St. Lawrence Market is one of my favorite places in Toronto… (And running into celebrity chefs all the time doesn't hurt either.)
