Raccoon on the Roof

by

All week, we had a raccoon sleeping in plain sight on our neighbour’s roof. it’s odd that it lay there out in the open, especially in the day time (since they’re nocturnal), but it made for a very good photo opportunity!

Here are a couple more photos I recently took of this raccoon on the roof:

As I was taking these photos on , it finally decided to leave – it must have been up there for three days or so, but our other neighbours told us this raccoon had already been up there for three days from the time we first noticed it, so I guess that makes it a total of six+ days on the roof!

And just when I thought this raccoon was gone forever, it occurred to me as I was writing this article that I should look out the kitchen window to check if the raccoon had come back. It went away for a good three days but now it’s back again in exactly the same spot!

I guess we have new neighbours now!?
